Johannesburg dog photographer and the launch of the latest Friendship Collar designs
A fabulous day was had by all at Full Stop Cafe on Sunday 18th February to celebrate the launch of the latest Friendship Collar designs.
Enormous Tyson, resident Rottweiler at Style Scoop Headquarters - www.stylescoop.co.za - was the first model of the day. This guy weighs in at a whopping 60kgs and he was quite excited to meet the other dogs, so keeping him still and occupied took 3 pairs of hands. He was modelling the Friendship Collar J'adore Mon Ami collar from the new Love Collection that you can view here. Tyson also posed with his mom, Dimi, for a portrait.
Next up were rescue pooches Moose and Malva, dog children belonging to Sarah, blogger at Mascara & Mimosas - www.mascaraandmimosas.com - Moose was very keen to sit and model his L.O.V.E Blue collar (Malva had a pink one, totally hidden by her fluff). Malva would only pose if mom held her, she was feeling very shy.
Shih Tzus Mushu and Banjo expertly posed with their Friendship Collars. I've photographed these guys before (check the shoot out here) and Mushu was as busy this time as the last time. Banjo was a puppy when I last saw him and he's grown up into a super chilled pooch. I love these two photographs, I think it looks like Mushu is whispering something into Banjo's ear. If he was, it was something outrageously funny.
Jonty, dog child to Bella Magazine's Adré Müller, gave me his best smile. Mom had styled their outfits to match and I think they looked fabulous. Jonty has his own instagram account which you can find here - @jontyislove
Actor and secret foodie Garth Breytenbach - @poormanscaviar - joined us with his best pal Archie. I think it's safe to say that Archie was the most relaxed dog at the party and spent most of the event sitting on a sofa sleeping.
Bonnie joined us with Cocker Spaniels Ava and Jilly.
Bella and Bailey joined us for some updated portraits. I photographed Bailey as a baby last year (view that shoot here) and he is just as bouncy, only with an additional 20 odd kgs attached.
Rescue pugs Pip and Belle came through to be immortalised, this pair are just the cutest set of pooches. Both of them were adopted from Pug Rescue South Africa are the apples of their parent's eyes. They looked so adorable in their matching 'Puppy Love' collars.
Last but not least was Bulldog Eva who stole everyone's hearts and made us all laugh with her animated face and very prominent underbite.
Our super day of fun and dog photography was made possible by Full Stop Cafe who hosted the event for us, Hustle Media SA who ran the PR campaign and Six Dogs Gin who very generously sponsored a tasting table for the event which everyone enjoyed:). We were also joined by the lovely Lara from Jozi Food Whore whose dogs stayed at home because they might have run riot.
Here's Kedis looking slightly alarmed about being called on to take a press shot.
I created the backdrop using some paper fans and fishing line, it was super easy to make and you can find out how to do it yourself for a party or event by watching my video.
